From the highly anticipated and currently in production SUBMISSIONS LP, a video for the track “Edit”. The duo consists of Ralph K. German and SGG alum Bobb Bruno, and even their immensely regarded respective work in outfits such as German Army, Law of the Rope, The For Carnation and countless others will not prepare you for what this album brings to the table.
We are thrilled to officially welcome our friend Dana Schechter to SGG, as we prepare the release of “Portal/Well”, the debut LP from INSECT ARK.
Insect Ark began as a solo project in 2011 and has recently expanded to include drummer Ashley Spungin. The band is largely instrumental in the experimental/doom genre, equally inspired by 60’s horror film soundtracks, metal, psych, and traditional classical composers.
You’ve likely encountered Dana’s large and eclectic body of work as a member of M. Gira’s Angels of Light, fronting Bee and Flower(Neurot Recordings), through her collaborations with Locrian and Enablers, her earliest efforts in Gifthorse(with Leviathan/Lurker of Chalice’s Jef Whitehead), or stints with American Music Club and 4AD’s Tarnation.
A European tour begins November 6 and includes dates with Aluk Todolo, Nadja, Half Japanese, Maserati, and an appearance at Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht alongside Annette Peacock, Magma, Faust, Keiji Haino, Charlemagne Palestine, Today is the Day, Swervedriver and many more.
Stay tuned for more information regarding shows and release details.
Here’s hoping this is an indication of further Net Shaker activity….these shots surfaced after a rare live appearance at Hammer Museum in Los Angeles recently..

Long before Lame Drivers were video stars/international playboys, we released a 7″ with them that scratched heads and shook asses the world over. They have a fantastic new LP out next week and you need to get down with this Tri-State area institution of hooks and riffs. It is imperative.
Net Shaker return to the live setting in Los Angeles as part of Hammer Museum’s ALL THE INSTRUMENTS AGREE, along with the likes of Genesis BREYER P-ORRIDGE, LANDED, Los Angeles Free Music Society, Kim Gordon, and more. Admission is FREE.

Opening Bell allow very little to seep from the bunker prior to an adequate incubation period, therefore we are excessively pleased to alert listeners to the surfacing of this demonstration of the band’s “improvisational electronic doom” period of recordings.
